Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development who will play an important role in our agency's future growth.


    Responsibilities:

    This role is uniquely balanced between business development (50%) and marketing (50%), offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a strategic and creative leader. You'll work closely with our Vice President of Client Development and Chief Strategy Officer to plan and execute the agency's growth agenda.


    Business Development (50%)

    • Agency Growth Planning: Input and collaborate on development of agency growth plans including industry research, building and maintaining prospect target list, campaign strategy, and outreach/CRM plan.
    • Outreach and Relationship Building: Actively reach out to marketing executives and partner agencies to expand our client base. Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers.
    • Strategic Partnerships:Identify and develop strategic partnerships that enhance agency offerings and market position.
    • New Business Pitches: Play a lead role in crafting RFP responses and new business proposals.
      • Master the Mediassociates brand story and help effectively communicate our unique selling proposition to the marketplace
      • Help manage and enhance new business tools and assets (case studies, templates, databases, etc.) to enhance efficient delivery of pitch material
      • Conduct basic research and market analysis to hone pitch strategy
      • Work collaborative with a cross-functional agency team on pitch content and agency recommendations
      • Lead pitch presentations and logistic
      • Negotiate and close deals
    • Client Onboarding:Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to our account service teams.

    Marketing (50%)

    • B2B Content Creation: Develop and execute a robust B2B content strategy, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn and other social channels, to enhance agency visibility and thought leadership.
    • Digital Presence Management: Oversee the agency's digital presence, including website updates and content management, to ensure brand consistency and engagement.
    • Marketing Communications Calendar: Manage and execute a marketing communications calendar, ensuring timely and effective delivery of our marketing messages.
    • Agency Promotion: Craft innovative marketing strategies, including industry conference attendance, to promote the agency's services and successes to a broader audience.

    Qualifications:

    • 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account/brand management in a related field. Media, digital, or creative agency experience preferred.
    • Proven track-record in growing sales or revenue and meeting business targets.
    • Strong understanding of the media industry, digital marketing, and B2B marketing
    • Excellent collaborator and cross-functional team leader.
    • Able to build and cultivate relationships both with new business prospects and internally. You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized and efficient. You can multi-task, work against tight deadlines, and are cool under pressure.
    • Proficient with social media channels, content creation, CRM tools and best practices, accessing research platforms, and PPT design.
    • A critical thinker and problem solver.

    Our office is located in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. While we maintain a highly flexible work culture for all, our local candidates are encouraged to use our updated office space in Sandy Hook, CT which allows you to take part in our office culture and team development that naturally occurs in office. In addition, if you need to take a break from work, there is a beautiful waterfall and serene stream just outside our front door. Candidates from outside the local area who are able to work during our core East Coast office hours, 8:30am-5:30pm ET, are encouraged to apply. Our team working remotely is invited to the office a minimum of two times per year for our Summer Party and again for the Holiday Party. Other team or client meetings may be scheduled at other times during the year.
