Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description
    Leverage Leadership and Development expertise to implement employee development programs, processes and practices which enable Truman Medical Centers to achieve business objectives. Responsible for the delivery and evaluation of comprehensive training and staff development programs across the organization. Work collaboratively at organization and department levels to drive training initiatives forward that align to business objectives, lead to continuous improvement of organizational performance and support cultural values. Contribute to development of staff and management through solid instructional design methodology. Responsible for the implementation of a variety of training programs for managers and employees.Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional development, organizational development, or related Human Resource experience.
    • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies. Customer service training knowledge.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills; project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; strong problem solving skills; creativity; consulting and diagnostic skills; strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
    • Proven ability to successfully launch and oversee major organizational initiatives.
    • Ability to manage relationships with vendors. Excellent relationship building, listening and influence skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's Degree in Education, OD or other relevant discipline
    • Organizational Development experience.
    • Human Resource Generalist experience.
