Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director to join our team. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to oversee the daily operations of our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, education administration experience, and the ability to strategically plan and budget for the organization's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in managing all aspects of the organization's operations as needed
- Assist the staff on lesson planning, classroom management and maintain staff scheduling
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a positive work environment
-Assist with office needs and working collaboratively with the Financial Secretary/Office Assistant on daily duties as needed. Such as, making copies for office or teachers, answering phones and email correspondence, doorbell security camera coverage, data entry and other office duties as assigned.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents, staff, church members and church staff, community members and CDC board members
- Support the Director in evaluating program effectiveness and assist in implementing improvements
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies with multiple agencies
-Assist with opening and closing the facility as needed
-This individual is next in line for coverage and daily administration responsibilities if the Director of the CDC is ever absent or on leave
Experience:
- Previous experience in childcare or education is required
- Proven ability to manage teams and lead by example
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
- Master Teacher Credential is required
- Familiarity with current DHS policies and practices
-Previous work experience in the area of director or assistant director within childcare is preferred but, not required
