Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     About the Position

    As the Director of Development, you will play a vital role in securing the future financial stability of the Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls and its affiliated organizations. Utilizing your exceptional knowledge of gift planning strategies and your ability to build strong relationships, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising plans while engaging with donors to facilitate meaningful contributions.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Developing and implementing comprehensive gift planning strategies to increase charitable contributions.
    • Cultivating relationships and engaging with donors to educate them on the benefits of gift planning and the impact they can make.
    • Providing personalized guidance and support to potential and existing donors regarding charitable investments and estate planning.
    • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify potential gift planning opportunities.
    • Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to promote gift planning initiatives and communicate the mission of the Catholic Community Foundation of Eastern SD.
    • Managing a portfolio of donor prospects, developing cultivation strategies, and facilitating the donation process.
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all gift planning activities.
    • Leading educational seminars, workshops, and events to increase awareness and understanding of gift planning strategies.
    • Staying informed about the latest trends and best practices in gift planning by participating in professional development opportunities.

    • Proven experience in gift planning, development, or a related field.
    • A track record of successfully cultivating relationships and securing significant contributions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to inspire and engage donors.
    • A strong understanding of financial and estate planning principles.
    • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals.
    • High ethical standards and respect for donor confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in using fundraising software and database management systems.
    • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
