Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • What We Are Looking For

    The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is looking for a Director of Business to direct business activities for SMART Hub, Baylor's Department of Defense Spectrum Innovation Center to support Baylor University in its mission and vision.

    A Bachelor’s Degree along with five years of experience and an active Christian faith are required. A Master’s Degree and seven years of experience is preferred.

    All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 

     

    What You Will Do

    • Develop technology transfer opportunities and revenue streams for SMART Hub
    • Engage with investors to find opportunities for investment and industry sponsored research
    • Locate opportunities and work with the SMART Hub team to take advantage of them
    • Pitch technology and business plans to potential investors and industry
    • Assist the Center Director in establishing organizational management approaches and managing the center team
    • Focus on team efficiency and project management
    • Increase financial efficiency of the organization
    • Build budget for projects
    • Manage Center operations
    • Assist in strategic planning and coordination
    • Meet regularly with the SMART Hub leadership team and provides input in center direction, ambitions, and operations
    • Engage governmental stakeholders and provides updates as to center progress
    • Ability to comply with University policies
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
