Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Salary Information: Annual Minimum Salary-$48,000-Annual Maximum Salary-$72,000

    Hiring Range: $23.08-$28.85

    Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pro-rated based on hours/week.


    Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.


    The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.


    PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region.     General Summary:

    Responsible for managing employee performance management systems, manages and tracks employee annual trainings and training program, conducts monthly new hire orientations, collects, and analyzes data to develop and implement strategies to improve performance. 


    Essential Job Functions:

    •  Analyzing data and creates reports to identify trends and opportunities. 

    •  Manage the employee performance management system and software platform to ensure compliance with annual processes.

    •  Administer the annual employee climate surveys from start to finish (faculty, administrators, and staff) and compile and disseminate results reports. 

    •  Manages and tracks new hires and annual new hire training.

    •  Analyze exit interview data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of improvement.

    •  Conducts/organizes monthly new hire orientations. 

    •  Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need. 

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Required: Bachelor's Degree


    Experience:

    • Required: 1-3 years


    Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    Knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and software applications; skill in organizing, attention to detail, and creating and improving processes; skill in effective interpersonal communication; ability to develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations; skill in effective communication (both written and oral); skill in independent decision making; skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature; skill in problem solving; knowledge of administrative procedures and practices; knowledge of computer and network operating systems; knowledge of customer service principles and practices; knowledge of project management principles, processes, and techniques; ability to apply effective and accurate data entry and typing skills; and ability to operate relevant equipment required to complete assigned responsibilities for the position.
