Organizational Development Manager manages all aspects of organizational development. Oversees the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Manager develops programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Facilitates the development and implementation of employee performance measurements to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Manager assesses leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Organizational Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Organizational Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Summary: 

     The Business Development Manager is a highly strategic role that will shape how and where Bettcher creates new revenue segments moving forward.  The successful candidate plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will has demonstrated successes in business development, a proven track record of achieving sales growth targets, and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    • New Customers: Expand customer base into new customer segments or adjacent markets, including new channels to market.
    • Customer/Channel Management:  Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and channel partners.  Develop programs to drive growth and accountability through the channel.
    • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate opportunities for market expansion, including new geographic regions and industry segments.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support to develop convincing value propositions, marketing collateral, advertising opportunities, etc.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new markets, trends, opportunities, and areas for growth within the food processing and industrial markets.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop, execute, and oversee a strategic business development plan to achieve sales growth targets and expand Bettcher Industries' market share.
    • Lead Generation & Conversion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through brand recognition, lead generation and conversion, networking, and relationship building.
    • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the product and technical teams to create compelling proposals that address client requirements and showcase Bettcher Industries' capabilities.
    • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients, including pricing discussions and contract terms, to successfully close deals.

     Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
    • Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in business development, sales, or a related role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
    • Strong understanding of the food processing industry and industrial markets.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.

     

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Track record of identifying market opportunities and putting plans in place to drive strategic business growth.
    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Displays a high level of critical thinking.
