Organizational Development Manager manages all aspects of organizational development. Oversees the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Manager develops programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Facilitates the development and implementation of employee performance measurements to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Manager assesses leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Organizational Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Organizational Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Hiring Range: $23.08-$28.85

    Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pro-rated based on hours/week.


    Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.


    The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.


    PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region.     General Summary:

    Responsible for managing employee performance management systems, manages and tracks employee annual trainings and training program, conducts monthly new hire orientations, collects, and analyzes data to develop and implement strategies to improve performance. 


    Essential Job Functions:

    •  Analyzing data and creates reports to identify trends and opportunities. 

    •  Manage the employee performance management system and software platform to ensure compliance with annual processes.

    •  Administer the annual employee climate surveys from start to finish (faculty, administrators, and staff) and compile and disseminate results reports. 

    •  Manages and tracks new hires and annual new hire training.

    •  Analyze exit interview data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of improvement.

    •  Conducts/organizes monthly new hire orientations. 

    •  Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need. 

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Required: Bachelor's Degree


    Experience:

    • Required: 1-3 years

    Knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and software applications; skill in organizing, attention to detail, and creating and improving processes; skill in effective interpersonal communication; ability to develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations; skill in effective communication (both written and oral); skill in independent decision making; skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature; skill in problem solving; knowledge of administrative procedures and practices; knowledge of computer and network operating systems; knowledge of customer service principles and practices; knowledge of project management principles, processes, and techniques; ability to apply effective and accurate data entry and typing skills; and ability to operate relevant equipment required to complete assigned responsibilities for the position.
