  • The Job / What You'll Do :

    The Development Support Specialist provides initial and ongoing mentoring and developmental support to front-line staff and the ability to adapt coaching styles and methods to individual learning styles and needs.

    Responsibilities :

    • With the manager's support, develop and deliver front-line staff mentoring.
    • Provide ongoing developmental support to new hires or employees with training needs, including retraining in specific areas, modeling desired skills, live and / or historic coaching, etc.
    • Provide oversight of staff adherence to new program processes and training.
    • Act as a "floater" for the team. It may require assisting with team assignments.
    • Ability to stay current with trends and changes in team procedures.
    • Willingness and eagerness to adapt to change.
    • Scheduling flexibility is preferred.
    • When not mentoring or monitoring performance, will act as a Team Lead.
    • This position will work in collaboration with the NEO trainer, Supervisors, and Manager.
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

    Critical thinking; effective decision-making; strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Flexible interpersonal communication style

    Plans effectively; ability to build and maintain professional, collaborative relationships.

    Technical, industry-specific knowledge about healthcare, behavioral health, and social services.

    • Ability to report as scheduled to work, meetings, training, and job-related activities prepared and
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate compassion and meet people with compassion; Effort, every interaction deserves my best effort;

    Education & Experience :

    • Associate Degree
    • A comparable combination of education / experience and / or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.
    • 5 years of experience in the field.
    • Training experience preferred. Must be comfortable managing and mentoring new information and referral team members; Behavioral health professional helpful;

    and Contact Center experience preferred.

    Working Conditions :

    While performing the job duties in the office or at a home office, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands;

    they must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Exposure to noise typical with office operations. Ability to hear and speak.
