    POSITION SUMMARY:           

    This newly created position works within the company’s marketing team while closely aligning with human resources and leadership. The specialist will help create and implement recruitment messaging strategies with the human resources team, align internal communication efforts with leadership and cultural priorities and assist in continually enhancing the employee-owner experience at Bartlett & West.

    Responsibilities

    • Recruitment Communications
      • Using our established employer brand messaging and in close collaboration between human resources, marketing and leadership, develop and implement written and visual communications that are used in the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new employee-owners.
      • Work with our recruiter to expand our digital presence through channels such as social media and digital advertising.
        • Create written, photo and video messaging for social media recruitment efforts.
        • Research, implement and track performance of digital employer brand advertising. Make recommendations for improvements and refinements.
        • Work with various internal stakeholders to create and deploy messaging around the value of employee-ownership.
      • Collaborate with the marketing and human resources leaders to refine the job seeker experience and messaging on Bartlett & West’s website.
      • Support recruitment and onboarding events as needed, such as career fairs and intern onboarding.
    • Internal Communications
      • Support cultural storytelling efforts through strong internal communications, including emails, articles and presentations.
      • Act as a resource and advisor for leadership communication efforts.
      • Assist with internal event planning and execution, such as board summary presentations, company celebrations, etc.
      • Maintain internal communication editorial calendar and ensure it aligns with the plans of various internal groups and committees.
    • Work with the HR and marketing teams to continue positioning Bartlett & West as a best place to work through award submissions and promotion of recognition.
    • Lead employee recognition efforts through press releases, social media messaging, internal communications, etc.
    • Support the overall development of internal and external communications, processes and channels that reinforce Bartlett & West’s culture, employee experience and employer brand.
    • Edit, standardize, integrate and polish communications as needed.
    • Support other marketing and HR projects and duties as prioritized.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Strong organization, grammar and proofreading abilities, including AP writing style
    • Proven ability to work with complex teams and sensitive topics
    • A passion for employee communications as a key culture-building tool
    • Experience with digital, web and social media messaging and marketing
    • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging messaging

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Writing/Journalism, Marketing or related field required.

     

    Experience:

    5 to 8 years of direct experience in internal or HR communications preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, graphic design and video editing programs required.

     

    Travel Expectations:

    Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state on occasion, which usually would consist of visiting other company locations, attending seminars or business meetings. Minimum travel is 10% of the time depending on projects.
