Organizational Psychologist studies and assesses the organizations workforce, management, culture, business objectives, and challenges using psychological principles and research methods. Designs and develops programs and tools that will be appropriate for the needs of the organization and which will assist employees and management to better achieve desired goals. Being an Organizational Psychologist utilizes various methods including employee surveys, focus groups, skill assessments, performance appraisals, and other feedback mechanisms to assist management in identifying issues and driving improvements. Creates solutions and programs that may be focused on employee selection, job training, leadership training, workplace and family issues, and change management. Additionally, Organizational Psychologist requires a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Organizational Psychologist works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     Job Summary

    Join UT Southwestern as a Senior Organizational Development Consultant in the Human Resources Department. The Senior OD Consultant needs to have prior facilitation experience, with a focus on creating effective training and teaching it to all levels of the organization. Experience with leadership training and development, managing engagement surveys, projects and events, and customer service training is preferred.

    Required Experience and Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent experience, and six (6) years of experience in field of assignment.
    • Master's degree in Organizational Development preferred.
    • Coaching certification preferred.
    • Strong preference for candidates who are proficient in process improvement, change management, assessments and employee engagement.
    Job Duties
    • Serves as a consultant from the Department of Human Resources to all departments.
    • Provides consulting/guidance to clinic, nurse, and administrative managers, and others for personal/professional leadership development.
    • Acts as an executive coach to internal clients, including mid-level leaders and faculty.
    • Conducts organizational/developmental assessments, evaluations, and special projects independently, or with a team of professionals, and prepares appropriate recommendations.
    • Participates in organization-wide onboarding efforts for newly employed staff.
    • Participates in the design, development, and delivery of OD initiatives, such as retreats, workshops, and team building activities.
    • Assists in the development of training strategies and delivery as needed.
    • Consults with front-line and mid-level executives on complicated and complex organizational development issues, addressing root cause issues and creating sustainable results.
    • Leads department and enterprise-wide change initiatives. * Assists clients in identifying areas to improve processes and efficiencies.
    • Assists in the administration of various organizational and leadership development assessments, and provides guidance on the creation of action plans based on those assessments.
    • Provides exemplary customer service to customers and guests at all times.
    • Continuously improves OD processes/initiatives based on organizational strategic initiatives, data analysis and industry best practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
