Organizational Psychologist jobs in Sumter, SC

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs psychological evaluations for individuals with mental health and medical disorders for purposes of diagnostic clarification and treatment planning recommendations.
  
• Provides/assists with diagnoses of mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients to include a full range of psycho-diagnostic services.
• Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Maintain appropriate records, progress notes, treatment plans, assessment forms, and billing records for all encounters.  
• Provides consultation to professional staff within the Tandem Health, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment.
• Serve as a point-of-contact for counselors within Tandem Health who may need case consultation or practice consultation, thereby leading to improved professional practices by Behavioral Health team members.
• Adheres to established clinical protocols and procedures.
• Educates patients and their caregivers regarding health and illness prevention as well as recommend resources to meet their needs. 
• Participates in staff medical education programs and patient health educational activities as required.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as assigned.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
• Maintains professional competence by completing appropriate specialty requirements of CME.
• Maintains current certifications.
• Successfully completes Tandem Health credentialing and privileging upon hire, and re-privileging, as required.
• Fulfills HRSA and health center productivity standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Doctorate or Post-Doctorate APA-Accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. program
• Holds a PhD Or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
• Fully licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in South Carolina
• Current CPR certification required
• Eligible to participate with Medicare and Medicaid agencies and other 3^rd party insurers, including Medicaid Managed Care organizations
