This position is a seasonal full time position. The approximate dates for this seasonal position is June through September.

This position is responsible for providing quality care to patients undergoing ambulatory surgical intervention in the area of preadmission, admitting, recovery, and discharge. The Peri-Anesthesia Nurse provides direct patient care and other nursing services to the patient; this RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of the patient. Performs perioperative assessment of the patient, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation and post-operative evaluation of the patient's response/outcome and of effectiveness and appropriateness of nursing care provided. The Peri-Anesthesia RN also ensures that the patient is prepared for discharge home by providing the necessary education to the patient and responsible caregiver.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of New York
• IV Conscious Sedation Competency
• Minimum of 3 years of PACU, ICU, or ER experience required
• Ambulatory surgery experience with pre-op phase I and II preferred
