Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Specialty Orthopedic Group is currently seeking a full-time LPN or MA to join our clinic. This position will be Monday-Friday, full time.

JOB SUMMARY
The LPN/MA provides basic medical care to patients in an orthopedic clinic; maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures; provides for the safe and efficient dispensing of doses of medication to patients consistent with the organization's procedure and as ordered by the Physician; responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient's symptoms, responses and progress. Must be proficient on computer, scheduling, and have excellent phone etiquette.
