Orthopedic Technician jobs in Jackson, MS

The Orthopedic Technician assists with direct patient care activities as directed by the Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Staff Physician. Perform a variety of orthopedic related activities including applying/removing dressings, applying/removing casts, and splints, assist with medical procedures as needed based on level of training and rooming of patients. Performs clerical and other duties as directed.

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Technology program preferred.
• Prefer one year's work experience in orthopedic field and preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
• Electronic health record experience.
• Orthopedic Technologist certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current Limited X-Ray Machine Operator Permit issued by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure preferred.
• Fully vaccinated COVID-19 status preferred.
• Physical demands: Must possess the physical stamina necessary to provide patient care, at times in large numbers, and in an expedient manner.
