Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. OrthoTennessee is seeking an Orthopedic Cast Tech for an opportunity at our Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic West location, Monday through Thursday, 9:30AM – 8:00PM (4-10 hour shifts) with occasional Saturdays. Responsibilities include application of splints, casts and durable medical equipment, as well as monitors cast room. Orthopedic casting experience is preferred, but not required; however, previous medical experience is required. CMA, CNA, LPN, EMT, ATC required.
