Department: General Office Reports to: Office Manager

Overview: The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for entering the visit frequencies into Netsmart and scheduling all nursing and therapy visits.

Qualifications:

• Have one (1) year of full time experience as a coordinator; or similar related experience.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and self-direct.

Responsibilities:

• Enter 95 lines into the visit frequency screen.
• Schedule all visits for SN, PT, OT, MSW.
• Log each SOC, ROC, or frequency change on the authorization screen (when required).
• Distribute 95 lines to the appropriate departments.
• Contact nurses to arrange scheduling changes to meet quotas.
• Review intake log thoroughly for SOCs, ROCs, medical holds.
• Maintains compliance with all agency policies and procedures.
• Ensure scheduled nurses visits are scheduled to the appropriate duration as not to exceed 24 hours in a day.
• Performs other duties as mutually agreed.

Functional Abilities:

• Visual / hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written / verbal communication.
• Computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to effectively deal with stress.
• Ability to verbalize so that the average person can comprehend.
• Able to sit for long periods of time.
• Carry out a wide variety of tasks with frequent interaction with many people.

Working Environment:

• General office with frequent telephone / computer activity.
