Outpatient Care Coordinator supervises the day-to-day activities of the patient relations team of a healthcare organization to deliver patient liaison services and patient-centric care. Coaches staff on best practices for responding to patient and family questions, concerns, and issues. Being a Outpatient Care Coordinator facilitates collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to make recommendations for improvements to the patient experience. Ensures that escalated problems are addressed and resolved. Additionally, Outpatient Care Coordinator provides and maintains up-to-date informational materials and resources for patients and families. Follows all applicable regulations regarding patient information privacy policies. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Duties and Responsibilities: STAFFING COORDINATOR FOR LONG TERM CARE
Scheduling and Staff Allocation:
- Develop and maintain staff schedules, taking into consideration factors such as employee availability, skill sets, and facility needs.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident care requirements and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Communication and Coordination:
- Collaborate with department heads, nursing staff, and other relevant personnel to understand staffing needs and address any concerns or issues.
- Communicate schedule changes, updates, and expectations to staff members in a clear and timely manner.
Staffing Compliance:
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with labor laws, industry regulations, and facility policies related to staffing and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of staff certifications, licensures, and training to ensure compliance.
Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify and address any staffing issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Work closely with Human Resources to address personnel matters, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions related to staffing.
Data Management:
- Utilize scheduling software and other tools to manage and maintain accurate records of staff schedules, time off, and availability.
- Generate reports on staffing levels, overtime, and other relevant metrics.
Training and Orientation:
- Coordinate and assist in the orientation of new staff members to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Facilitate training sessions on scheduling procedures and protocols for existing staff.
