Outpatient Care Supervisor oversees the daily activities and staff of an outpatient medical or specialty services facility or clinic. Coordinates clerical and administrative process and workflows needed to deliver care and services to patients. Being an Outpatient Care Supervisor may include customer service, scheduling, clinical coordination, third-party and records management. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Outpatient Care Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Outpatient Care Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Outpatient Care Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. MVH is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services. Our commitment to care includes developing integrated delivery systems through partnerships with medical surgical hospitals, community mental health centers, educational institutions, managed care organizations, local health professionals and agencies.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Therapist provides therapeutic functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intewention, information and referrals as needed are provided.


    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
    Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW); Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); or Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCCS). A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.

    SKILLS:
    Must have strong clinical assessment skills and have knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
