Outpatient Clinic Manager manages the day-to-day operations of an outpatient clinic/care center. Responsible for ensuring that high quality patient care is given and that there is economical and efficient performance. Being an Outpatient Clinic Manager monitors patient volumes, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Outpatient Clinic Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Outpatient Clinic Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Job Summary: Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patent populations. Addresses the psychological, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia provider about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room for equipment function and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensure needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Coordinates the delivery of patient care and services in the Operating room, Recovery room and Outpatient surgery. On-call as needed, required.
Job Qualifications:
A. Education: Graduate of accredited School of Professional Nursing.
B. Personal job-related skills: Ability to coordinate all aspects of pre-operative, intra-operative, recovery room and post-operative care.
C. Licensure, Registry, or Certification: Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Teas Board of Nursing. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC Required.
D. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients.
