The Licensed Mental Health Counselor has experience in culturally competent trauma-informed/trauma-responsive treatment and co-occurring disorders with a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing mental health treatment in clinical settings as a direct care provider. Licensed Behavioral Health Counselors provide mental health screening, assessment, individual counseling, group counseling, and family counseling services. The Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor serves as the first point of contact for direct care services, referrals to community support services as well as prevention/education services.
Thoroughly assesses and completes the screening assessment tools for all consumers as required
Provides Therapy Services
Assist consumers in being admitted or referred out to the service or resource to best address their health care needs.
Documenting findings, recommendations, and outcomes.
Serves as a liaison to referral sources and provides community outreach, works closely with the agency's Certified Peer Support Staff.

LGPC, LMSW, LGSW, LCSW-C,LCPC-S LCADC-S
Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an outpatient setting required.
Preferred knowledge of OMHC clinic admission functions, psychological assessment, and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management.
Excellent communication skills.
Understanding of local state/ federal regulations, HIPAA regulations, and third-party payer knowledge is preferred.
