Outpatient Services Director directs and implements the administrative processes and resources of an outpatient medical or specialty services facility or clinic. Ensures quality care and services for patients by implementing systems and operational procedures to coordinate service delivery. Being an Outpatient Services Director aligns processes with business, clinical, customer service, quality, and financial goals. Monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards. Additionally, Outpatient Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Outpatient Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Outpatient Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     What You'll Do:

    The Qualified Professional works closely with the primary behavioral health clinician, and is responsible for; developing, implementing, evaluating and revising Person-Centered Plans which are reflective of each individual’s strengths, needs and preferences, providing symptom education to each individual to identify their unique symptoms and understand their diagnosis, providing supportive counseling (i.e. problem solving, role-playing, modeling and support), social-skill development, and assertiveness training to increase each individual’s social and interpersonal activities in community settings, providing crisis intervention and support in a manner consistent with each individual’s Crisis Plan, and collaborating and coordinating with various persons and organizations including schools, courts, probation officers, physicians and other healthcare providers, hospitals, law enforcement officers, social services, family members and community agencies.

    What We're Looking For:

    • An individual who holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in mh/dd/sa with the population served; or 
    • A graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or
    • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or
    • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
