    Job Description: This role isresponsible for the Chemung County Crisis Program operation and direct oversight of crisis staff. Opportunities for flexibility with schedule, including the possibility of a four-day work week, dependent on the needs of the program. They will work with a team that is responsible for providing coverage to respond to on-site and community-based requests for crisis intervention and follow-up services for Chemung County Crisis Program based at Family Services of Chemung County.

    Responsibilities:

    • Direct oversight of crisis staff. Ensure training requirements are met by all crisis staff, completing re-training as needed. Monitor staff compliance with Office of Mental Health guidelines and agency policy/procedure. Approve timesheets/time off requests/mileage.
    • Assigned on-call supervisory support for crisis workers, providing clinical support for staff in the community. Assisting with decision making on mental health pick-up orders, when appropriate. Assigned supervisory on-call with stipend pay.

    · Review of crisis contact notes and risk assessments. Send all Schuyler County crisis contact reports to Schuyler County Mental Health within 24 hours or next business day. Review and completion of monthly crisis statistics.

    • Facilitation of monthly crisis staff meetings. Participates, engages, listens, and learns in individual and team meetings.
    • On-site and community-based telephone and face to face crisis intervention screening, for individuals/families with same day/next day treatment referral and follow-up including complex care management. Crisis intervention screening includes the use of risk assessments and safety planning.

    · Prioritize development of plans of care with individual in association with all community providers, family, and collateral support identified by and for the individual. Completion of referrals to community resources and clinical services.

    • Maintain awareness in relation to changing discipline, governmental expectations, practices, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for reviewing and adhering to all agency policies and procedures.

    · Complete all program, agency, and community-based training.

    • Responsible to represent the agency in the community with courtesy and professionalism.

    Requirements: Applicants are expected to possess a current NYS licensure as an RN, LMSW, or LMHC and a minimum of one-year progressive supervisory experience in a social service setting.

    The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, be operationally focused, a systems thinker, problem solver, able to plan and strategize for programmatic growth, develop and implement programmatic policies and procedures. Strong writing and clinical skills are a must. Must be organized, detailed oriented, able to respond quickly to programmatic/community/individual needs while concurrently managing several projects with different timelines and objectives.
