Outpatient Services Director jobs in Lynchburg, VA

Primary Duties

• Develop/improve program workflows, policies and procedures; updating and revising as needed
• Train on workflows, policies, procedures
• Stay current on compliance requirements for DEA and HIPAA (prescription disposal, controlled)
• Monitor implementation of workflows
• Problem solve for Psychiatry and Outpatient therapy departments
• Conduct note audits
• Communicate changes needed with psychiatrist, therapist, QMHPs, and stakeholders
• Complete Outpatient and Psychiatry Metrics weekly
• Identify attendance and/or utilization concerns and work with team to resolve
• Confirm time sheets are correct for each physician/NP on a weekly/monthly basis
• Manage Care Coordination activities
• Provide oversight for referrals (internally and externally)
• Completing prior authorizations
• Collaborate with Compliance Department to ensure compliance for department charts
• Travel within the Danville/Pittsylvania County area, as needed
• Attend and participate in meetings as necessary
• Complete other duties as assigned

Experience and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, or related field, from an accredited college/university
• Staff must be certified or licensed in a nursing or mental health related field; or registered with appropriate board within 90 days of employment
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Must have experience with management of aggressive behavior, behavioral supports, and crisis prevention and attend trainings to continue education
• Experience with administrative operations (2 years)
