Being an Outpatient Surgery Director monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Outpatient Surgery Director typically reports to top management. The Outpatient Surgery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Outpatient Surgery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The Surgical Services department features 7 Operating Rooms and Outpatient Surgical suites. This active department performs comprehensive procedures including Robotics, ENT, Gynecology, and General Surgery. The Nurse Director of Surgery will oversee Inpatient and Outpatient units and a strong team of 20 FTEs.

    The Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery RN Director is responsible for shaping the long-term strategy of the service line and implementing process improvement initiatives to achieve departmental goals. The ideal candidate is Masters-prepared, is a strong staff mentor, and has both inpatient and outpatient surgical management experience.
