Job Description
Responsible for scheduling surgeries promptly and efficiently in accordance with physicians- orders and insurance requirements. Responsible for providing assistance and support to Surgical Schedulers to ensure excellent and efficient customer service and patient care by setting a positive example, ensuring adequate training, and assisting in problem-solving.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 2 years relevant experience in a fast paced medical office.
Preferred Medical Assistant or LPN given clinical tasks associated with the role and coverage with rooming and triaging
Strong working knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
Strong computer skills, experience with medical software preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Proven ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate in other languages is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, written and communication skills and strong personal initiative and demonstrated ability to take ownership of work results.
Responsible for scheduling surgeries in accordance with physician's orders and insurance requirements, ensuring all necessary paperwork and required tests needed prior to surgery are accurately completed, Clearly communicating pre and post-surgery instructions to patients.
This position reports to a practice manager.
