Maplewood Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring an surgery center assistant . Maplewood Ambulatory Surgery Center specializes in interventional pain management procedures. No experience necessary, we will train the right candidate!

Duties will include:

• Assisting Nursing staff in all areas of surgery center as directed
• Escorting patients from recovery room to vehicle in wheelchair
• Assists is room breakdown, to include removal and cleaning/sterilization of equipment and supplies from room .
• Cleaning beds and changing linens after patient is discharged.
• Stocking supplies in patient care rooms and the operating rooms
• Transport patients to personal vehicle after discharge
• Preparing consents and discharge instructions.

Ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and takes initiative.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to physically help patients into wheelchair and transfer to vehicle after surgical procedure
• Exposure to weather and temperature
• Bending and lifting
• Extended periods of standing
• Task prioritization
• Multi-tasking
• Successful completion of annual safety training as assigned by management
• Caring and cheerful personality
• Punctual and consistent attendance record
• Professional appearance

This is a part-time position that will not have the potential for full-time transition. Hours are not guaranteed, and are based off of patient case load.

Typical work week is Tuesday-Thursday 7:45am to 4:45pm. Four day weekends every week!!

Maplewood Ambulatory Surgery Center requires candidates to complete pre-employment drug screen.
