PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installing. Being a PACS Administrator acts as a liaison between the Radiology department and customers. Maintains positive vendor relationship. Additionally, PACS Administrator requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The PACS Administrator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a PACS Administrator typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     POSITION PURPOSE

    The primary responsibilities of the Quality Administrator are coordination, planning, organization and documentation in support of the Plant Quality Team and Quality Management System (QMS).


    RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

    • Create daily reports for final audit failures
    • Set up and train all operators for failures found at customer location and internal
    • Assist engineering with PPAP, APQP documentation
    • Input daily NCM and dispositioning of failed product
    • Support Quality Engineers on part to part concerns regarding acceptability, inspection methodology, and customer expectations.
    • Assist with implementing new methods of inspection and control when required. (i.e.: enhanced containment techniques and documentation, SPC data, scheduled CMM runs or Roamer scans, etc.)
    • Collect, input and send out a daily report for all defects found from GP-12 and Final Audit.
    • Verify that all findings are recorded into Plex.
    • Attend all PC and Fast Response meetings.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of quality processes and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Competent with computer software such as, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
    • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Plex is a strong plus).
    • A highly motivated team player who contributes to an atmosphere in which people collaboratively, enthusiastically and effectively produce results
    • Must be flexible with the ability to change, adapt and grow

    No Supervisory requirements for this job. Leading teams to project conclusion may be necessary.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The position is located in an office within a manufacturing facility. Negligible travel to the customer, other company manufacturing sites, supplier sites, and off-site training may be involved. The position's customer group is based within the manufacturing facility and they will have exposure to the following:

    • Noise, fumes, dirt, heat, sparks, and smoke
    • May also be exposed to water, vibration, dust, grease, and oil
    • Frequently walks, bends, twists, turns, and lifts while performing functions of position
    • Moderate-sized equipment used around work area
    • Possible cuts, scrapes, burns or bruises
    • Eye protection and hearing protection required
