PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installing. Being a PACS Administrator acts as a liaison between the Radiology department and customers. Maintains positive vendor relationship. Additionally, PACS Administrator requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The PACS Administrator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a PACS Administrator typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Description: Due to continued growth we are currently seeking to add a Systems Administrator to our team! System Administrators at Charles IT primarily serve as field and escalations support to our clients while performing the job functions below.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users
- Support of Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
- Support of virtual environments including VMware, and Hyper-V
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, & security
- Effectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed outages, etc.
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
- Maintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets in ConnectWise
