Summary
Job Summary:
The PACS Administrator performs the activities required to support the computer based application requirements of the hospital, specifically the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Under limited supervision, coordinates and directs the daily activities and functions of the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) and the Radiology Information System (RIS). Responsible for the day-to-day applications support of PACS equipment including modality work flow, archiving, quality assurance of data, and other related activities. Works closely with other PACS personnel, and coordinators to ensure proper operation of DICOM digital image data transfer into the PACS as well as network transmission, RIS validation and exceptions handling. The PACS Administrator closely interacts with our joint venture for imaging services. The PACS Administrator ensures the quality of services rendered in response to the needs of it's' customers according to the hospital's mission statement and SPIRIT values.
