PC Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Being a PC Maintenance Technician maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. The PC Maintenance Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to electrical and mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment inspections. - Maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. - Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, document repairs, and maintain accurate records. - Supervise and coordinate contractors for specialized repairs or projects. - Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly. - Respond to maintenance requests from various departments in a timely manner. - Assist with the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs. - Welding and fabrication as needed. Requirements: - Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. - Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including the ability to read schematics and blueprints. - Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks. - Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate contractors. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. - Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
