Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Being a PC Maintenance Technician maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. The PC Maintenance Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Sr. PC Technician to work at Ft. Benning, GA. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
The Senior PC Technician is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing personal computer systems, hardware, software, computer peripherals, and AV equipment. The Technician will assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. The Sr. Technician may also mentor or train other Desktop Support. The Sr. PC Technicians must have excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. This position is customer service oriented, and the Sr. Technician must be proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. The Sr PC Technician may be required to provision and maintain mobile devices including NIPR, SIPR and Gray. This position may supervise PC Technician support teams.
