Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Being a PC Maintenance Technician maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. The PC Maintenance Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The Plastek Group. is looking for an individual to fill an open PC Technician position within the Information Technology department at our corporate headquarters in Erie, PA.
The successful candidate should have experience in the support and maintenance of computer equipment all peripherals. A strong knowledge in both hardware and operating systems. The ability to work alone or in teams and transportation between locations within Erie PA is a must.
Job Description
Aid in the daily support and maintenance of computer equipment, printers, monitors and other peripherals. As needed, build, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and applications. Development and maintenance documentation and other support materials using Microsoft Office applications.

Trend Micro products, Microsoft products, Adobe products, SAP, HCL (Lotus) Notes, Autocad, Pro/E (Creo), compression utilities, FTP utilities, Java, Linux

Evaluation
The yearly based evaluation will be the extent to which the performance responsibilities of the job are successfully handled and the extent to which yearly action plans and job goals are met. The IT Manager will perform the evaluation. A merit adjusted increase will be assessed after evaluation.
