PC Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Being a PC Maintenance Technician maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. The PC Maintenance Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Ophthalmic Technician Overview:
Retina Northwest Ophthalmic Technicians are responsible for assisting in the care, treatment, and education for ophthalmology patients. Ophthalmic Technicians conduct patient screening, patient communication & education, obtain patient history, document in EHR, maintain patient confidentiality, and maintain exam rooms and inventory. Ophthalmic Technicians assist our Ophthalmologists in preparing patients for examination, performing diagnostic testing, ocular measurements, visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis, and intraocular pressures as directed by a physician.

Education – COT, COA, OSC, CMA, EMT certifications preferred, HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience – Minimum of one-year Ophthalmic clinical experience required; key boarding ability of 45 wpm, EHR experience preferred (Nextech experience desirable), knowledge of ophthalmic medical office procedures specific to a vitreo-retinal practice highly desirable.
