Keizer Vision Source PC is a friendly, family-oriented clinic that provides optometry services and vision care products to the Salem-Keizer community. We are currently in search of a new Ophthalmic Technician to become part of our patient care team.

Ophthalmic Technicians work closely with patients to complete the initial patient evaluation, including taking a general history and chief complaint, updating medical history, checking visual acuity, obtaining baseline testing on various ophthalmic instruments including reading patient glasses prescriptions and taking various images and scans as ordered by the physician. Other tech duties include, but are not limited to, ordering patient contact lenses and quoting insurance benefits to patients.

Qualifications: No direct eye care experience required, but experience in a customer service, medical or ophthalmic setting would be preferred. Computer skills, critical listening and good communication skills required. We are dedicated to patient care, so excellent people skills are a must! Spanish speaking skill would be a significant plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
