Description

Candidates with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues will be preferred for the PC Technician opening at Robert Half. If you are a self-motivated problem solver who loves to work in a dynamic and positive environment, this may be the role for you. As the PC Technician, you will work in the Greenfield, Massachusetts, region. This role is a long-term contract / contract opportunity.

What you get to do every day

- Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

- Arrange for repairs through the appropriate vendors

- Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records

- Service a variety of computer hardware, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and refurbishing PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment

- Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

- Dismantle, box and ship outdated equipment

- Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed

- Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

- Install and repair printers, troubleshooting problems as needed

- Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities

- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers

- Assist with functionality testing and end user support

- Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters

Requirements

- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- 1 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- CompTIA A certification mandatory

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Well versed in network design and implementation strategies

- Windows Deployment experience

- Proven knowledge of OS Deployment

- Well-founded grasp of Desktop deployment

- Deployments experience preferred

- Image Deployment experience required

- Laptop Images experience

- Chromebook experience desired

- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
