Job Summary:
The Tax Manager at CDH, PC is a vital member of our Accounting & Finance team, responsible for managing all aspects of our clients' tax compliance and planning needs. This is a Full Time, individual contributor role located in Itasca, Illinois. The Tax Manager will work closely with our clients and internal team members to ensure accurate tax filings and optimize tax strategies for our clients. This role reports to the Tax Partner and offers a competitive salary range, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and review the preparation of tax filings for individual and business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Consult with clients on tax planning strategies, identifying opportunities to optimize their tax position
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as their trusted advisor on all tax matters
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate updates and implications to clients and internal team members
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and feedback on their work
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive services to clients
- Assist with special tax projects and research as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax codes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
