PC Support Manager manages a team that provides personal computer deployment and support, including setup, installation, repairs, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting. Maintains the necessary hardware and software inventory and oversees the administration of required licenses. Being a PC Support Manager analyzes PC resource requirements and evaluates available vendors, products, and services that will meet the organization's needs. Implements training programs and develops documentation to support end-users. Additionally, PC Support Manager possesses experience in a LAN environment, a strong understanding of PC operating systems, security tools, and extensive knowledge of all commonly used PC software and products. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The PC Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a PC Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Pee Dee Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 


    Job Functions 

    • Ensures that each individual receives those services and interventions necessary to meet identified needs in accordance with active treatment standards on a daily basis.
    • Provides thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of services provided. Ensures that programs/training are amended based on progress or newly identified needs/concerns.
    • Is responsible for direct supervision of the personnel as assigned in the residential unit/area.
    • Maintains continuous communication with parents/advocates.
    • Monitors consistency among external/internal programs and disciplines to ensure that any discrepancies or inconsistencies between programmatic, medical, dietary, and vocational aspects of consumer’s assessments and programs are resolved
    • Promotes a safe, orderly, neat, clean environment for consumers
    • Performs additional duties as necessary.

    Bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to: sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, Registered Nurse licensure, or Doctorate of Medicine Osteopathy. Two years of related experience providing professional or direct services, including at least one year of experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities. Must be able to effectively manage staff. Basic arithmetic, reading, writing skills. Working extending hours as necessary. Essential employees will be required to work overtime to ensure consumer safety and supervision depending on various activities and severe weather conditions. Must have a valid SC Driver’s License.
