PC Support Manager manages a team that provides personal computer deployment and support, including setup, installation, repairs, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting. Maintains the necessary hardware and software inventory and oversees the administration of required licenses. Being a PC Support Manager analyzes PC resource requirements and evaluates available vendors, products, and services that will meet the organization's needs. Implements training programs and develops documentation to support end-users. Additionally, PC Support Manager possesses experience in a LAN environment, a strong understanding of PC operating systems, security tools, and extensive knowledge of all commonly used PC software and products. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The PC Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a PC Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Summary

    The Manager is responsible for the management of their areas of specialty. They have responsibility for overseeing completion of tax returns and year-end compilations, manages audits, and other complex accounting projects. The Manager is proficient in related specialty area(s) of the accounting function, quality control and JCCS committee and/or team responsibilities.


    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintain strict confidentiality of information related to client, staff, and Firm’s internal operations during and after employment with JCCS.
    • Manages complex audit engagements, as well as billing.
    • Completes audits under the review of a shareholder.
    • Strong working knowledge of GASB, FASB, GAS, GAGAS.
    • Establishes additional responsibilities in specific areas of accounting interest, for example, budgets, investments, and information systems to become certified/licensed in those areas.
    • Delegates, supervises and reviews more complex audits and other functions to staff, and takes responsibility for quality control issues.
    • Uses technical competence and expertise to serve on JCCS committees and to lead JCCS teams.
    • Comply with established work hours, scheduling and billable time expectations. Employees are expected to work additional hours and/or overtime when dictated by client business, high volume workloads and seasons.
    • Contributes significantly to marketing activities that bring in their own clients and participates in promoting new Firm services.
    • Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned

    To Qualify:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
    • Licensed C.P.A. by the Montana State Board of Public Accountants
    • 5 years’ experience (3 years in public accounting required)


    Skills for Success:

    • Technically competent in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field
    • Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheets
    • The ability to problem solve and think independently
    • Attention to detail, and good organizational skills
    • Ability to take full responsibility for quality of work, delegate, supervise and review other staff’s work and take responsibility for their quality of work.
