This Opportunity Provides:
This is a rare opportunity in a small friendly office environment for someone with strong critical thinking skills, analytical skills, bookkeeping skills, organization to work on accounting & financial projects for the firm - such as extensive excel spreadsheet work, QuickBooks bookkeeping, payroll, Individual Tax return preparation and data entry. This role will also support the work of our administration team in accounts receivable & invoicing, client relations, tax return sorting & processing as well as other interoffice projects for the firm.
Position Overview:
The Accounting & Administrative Support position is a full-time entry level position (40 hours a week; 8-5) that will report to our Accounting Specialist in implementing several projects at a time. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision, have very strong critical thinking skills, have the ability to see what needs to be done and jump in without instruction, self-motivated and must be trustworthy and sensitive to confidential client information.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Advanced excel spreadsheet work
• Bookkeeping
• Data entry in QuickBooks and other supporting financial systems
• Accounts Receivable & Payable Work
• Individual Tax Return Process Work
• Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
• Assist colleagues whenever necessary
• Prepare correspondence, documentation, or presentation materials
• Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals/research as assigned
• Handling highly sensitive information pertaining to personal finances
