Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Package Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Applicants must have a strong background in troubleshooting electrical machine controls, servo motors, chiller units, injection molding machines & various secondary machines. The ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics & pneumatics is also required. Must be able to read and understand hydraulic & pneumatic prints and electrical schematics. A background with UR Robots is a plus.
Will be responsible for maintaining records for all equipment, repairs & preventative maintenance.
Maintain inventory of replacement parts, wear items & shop supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
This position also supervises a helper & a building maintenance person.
Manage outside contractors as needed.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Overtime can be required due to unexpected maintenance issues.
