Engineering Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Engineer Assistant to join our Quality/Engineer team. As an Engineer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting engineering documents and customer quality reports. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer to gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load new spec data and documents into engineering portal(s) to support SOP compliance.
• Support new model and new part management.
• Provide input and prepare month-end engineering reports.
• Maintain engineering documents.
• Support ISO/QMS program, including Internal Auditor training.
• Provide support to pack development and/or modifications.
• Create/maintain documents for process and packaging of required customer product (mapping and documenting engineering processes)
• Respond to department manager requests timely and accurately.
• Address customer concerns timely and accurately, including email, phone calls, meetings.
• Support production with specs and process questions as needed.
• Support Continuous Improvement process, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma. Associates Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate EXCELLENT computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrate professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers (verbal and written).
• Demonstrate excellent reading comprehension.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Able to sit/stand/walk 8 hours/day. Able to bend/reach/carry frequently.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Lift over 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Able to prioritize and organize work and work without supervision.
• Perform basic math and use a calculator. Able to accurately read a tape measure.
• Follow directions, quality and safety procedures.
