This position is in Nippon Dynawave Packaging’s engineering department, and reports to the Engineering Manager. The engineering department provides engineering and process control support to the Fiber Supply, Fiberline, Paper Machine, Extruders, Wet Lap, Pulp Drying Line, and Energy & Utilities production areas.
Key Functions:
Key functions of the position include providing day to day support to the distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, process control loops, and variable frequency drives used in the mill's production areas. Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering departments on projects related to on-going process enhancements and equipment reliability improvements.

About Nippon Dynawave Packaging in Longview, WA:
The Longview Liquid Packaging facility produces bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee, and sake. The facility employs about 500 people and produces 260,000 metric tons of paperboard each year -- the equivalent of 6 billion liter-sized milk cartons. Weyerhaeuser launched the Longview Liquid Packaging business in 1953 and operated the facility until its acquisition by Nippon Paper Industries (NPI).
The facility began a new era under NPI ownership on September 1, 2016, operating as Nippon Dynawave Packaging. As a long-time customer of Longview’s liquid packaging board, NPI brings a new level of understanding and commitment to the Liquid Packaging business, which bodes well for the future strength and success of the Longview facility.
