Packaging Engineer jobs in Santa Maria, CA

Packaging Coordinator:

• Responsible for providing accurate physical weekly inventory of all items pertaining to packaging (i.e. film, corrugate, labels)
• Responsible for receiving all packaging materials in ERP system
• Responsible for receiving all documentation for packaging purchase orders
• Report quality or shortage concerns to Packaging Manager
• Communicate with packaging suppliers
• Organize, maintain and record inventory levels
• Communicate and problem solve inventory inaccuracies as it pertains to packaging
• Assist in handling credits, resolving and scheduling returns, handling damaged product as pertains to packaging
• Assist with product development and marketing as pertains to packaging
• Assist in audits by providing documentation on packaging materials
• Work with production and QA Teams to solve production issues as it pertains to packaging
• Assist Packaging Manager in developing inventory control practices
• Present recommendations for SKU reductions and improving efficiencies.
• Work with production team in keeping inventory areas efficient
• Prepare product samples as required by sales team
• Assist in maintaining product and packaging internal database of specifications
• Must be knowledgeable with Excel and demonstrate moderate to strong computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.48 - $22.26 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
