Position: Flexographic Press Operator

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Key Objective: To be a team player while creating some of the best labels in the country by setting up and efficiently running a Flexographic Press by performing traditional Flexographic printing and die cutting to convert prime labels.

Responsibilities

• Operate Flexo press to produce job according to specification.
• Prepare machines for printing and die cutting.
• Ink the press, load substrate, install tooling, mount plates, set print impression and adjust the press.
• Ensure that substrate, ink and tooling meet specifications.
• Web paper through the press and adjust feed and tension controls.
• Make adjustments to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber.
• Search for and correct problems.
• Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate and ink.
• Oil and clean the presses and make minor repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Press Operator or comparable skills
• Computer savvy
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving
• A team player with great communication skills
• Physical strength and stamina
