Production Machine Operator

Job Description:

This is a position focused on the automated packaging of our insects. The production operator oversees the machine operation, performs line work duties and helps maintain the packaging process. This position performs some hand-packaging and quality control of the insect products.

Functions of the job:

• Troubleshooting machines
• Machine operation
• Performing line work duties with the machine functioning
• Ensuring compliance with quality of insects
• Preparing boxes and materials
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• Performing duties with accuracy, care, and speed
• Performing responsibilities in a friendly and professional manner
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management

Qualifications Required:

• Experience operating automated machines (Line work, packaging, assembly, etc.)
• Ability to work in a dusty, loud environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand in place, squat, kneel, bend and carry frequently
• Ability to problem solve and follow directions
• Ability to understand and speak English
• Ability to count to 100 and simple math
• Ability to use a box cutter and tape gun
• Multi-tasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Logical thinking
• Ability to work directly with and handle live insects

Regular Full-time Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

**Hours will fluctuate based on the shipping schedules and company needs**
