Packaging Machine Operator sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications. Being a Packaging Machine Operator verifies goods packaged against package invoices. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Additionally, Packaging Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Documents inventory number and weight, and organizes packages. May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Packaging Machine Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. MG Machine, Inc. is looking for skilled and experienced CNC Machinists to operate precision machinery and produce a quality product for our customers. Manual dexterity and attention to detail are necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision machinery and a mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Program, setup, adjust and operate machine tools to perform precision machining operations with CNC mills, lathes and CNC Swiss. Knowledge of Mastercam a plus.
- Apply knowledge of mathematics to calculate dimensions & tolerances.
- Observe machine operations to detect work piece defects / machine malfunctions & adjust machinery as necessary.
- Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling and cleaning.
- Maintain a safe & orderly work area.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret & translate blueprint drawings.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of metal properties and other materials.
- Must occasionally lift and/or lower up to 50 pounds.
- Employee is regularly required to stand.
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy & attention to detail.

Work Days: Monday through Friday. (Paid time off for most common Holidays)
Work hours:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; normal hours.
6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday & 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Friday when working overtime hours.
