Packaging Machine Operator jobs in Sarasota, FL
Packaging Machine Operator sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications. Being a Packaging Machine Operator verifies goods packaged against package invoices. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Additionally, Packaging Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Documents inventory number and weight, and organizes packages. May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Packaging Machine Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description:
We are looking for more technical skillset so they must be able to operate machines and have some sort of leadership capability as this role and could learn the machine and train others in that area.
This role provides an opportunity to learn different areas of plant floor and allows opportunities for leadership development.
The Operator II is responsible for the consistent operation of various machines and/or operation of support equipment related to the production process. Other duties are outlined based on specific Customer requirements.
This job function directly/indirectly affects product quality
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform machine operations and control.
Follow machine start up and shutdown procedure.
Follow applicable work instructions.
Follow all established health and safety policies.
Communicate with supervisors.
Knowledge of GMP.
Follow work instruction and product specification.
Quality Inspection.
Evaluate non-conformities in products, production equipment and test equipment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Machine operation experience in a production environment required.
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Previous manufacturing experience
