Packaging Manager manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives. Observes, analyzes, and researches packaging line operation to develop and implement scientific and efficient process. Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals and implement sales strategies.
- Secure and maintain product distribution, including pricing negotiations and the upkeep of effective sales agreements.
- Provide exceptional service by meeting customer needs and promoting product sales.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales opportunity pipeline through lead generation plans.
- Foster and expand customer relationships while addressing their needs.
- Collaborate with the design department to enhance and create new designs.
- Review sales opportunities and process efficiency with the sales manager and suggest improvements when noticed.
- Oversee overall account management, including record keeping, credit applications, forecasts, budgets, and credit collections from delinquent accounts.
- Service existing accounts and establish new ones by planning and organizing daily work schedules to engage with sales outlets and trade partners.
- Stay informed about market conditions, pricing, products, new releases, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques to monitor competition.
- Recommend product, service, and policy changes based on evaluations and competitive development.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management.
- Maintain records of area and customer sales for historical reference.
- Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; and following up on work results.
- Counseling and disciplining employees; and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
