This position is responsible for initiating and managing business development activities within Strategic Accounts for the National Sales team. A Strategic Account is defined as a current National Account with opportunity for growth and partnership expansion. This position reports to the National Sales Director and/or Vice President of Sales
Essential Functions
- Work with the National Sales leadership of Sales to identify Strategic Accounts and their growth opportunities.
- Assist with establishing annual goals and objectives for Strategic Accounts.
- Identify opportunities for growth and position Premier’s value effectively.
- Present Premier’s value proposition, National programs, and offerings at the highest level.
- Work with Corporate Sales Support and Marketing toward best-in-class presentations for Strategic Accounts.
- Learn what is important to the client and their key objectives. Align Premier’s offering with these objectives.
- Stay on the cutting edge of new products and industry knowledge.
- Support identified National Sales Representatives and Executives where required on Strategic Accounts
- For accounts managed, responsible for managing inventory, account success and profitability.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with clients at multiple levels.
- Target and engage executive and C suite level management.
- Build relationships internally with the broader Premier organization, Sales Support functions and CFT.
- Assist in performing SWOT analysis and Business Reviews for National/Strategic Accounts
- Work internally with CFT on growth for existing business and opportunities to expand Premier’s foothold.
- Keep all activities tidy and up to date in Salesforce.
Requirements
